Intelligent and Cooperative IoT Services at the Edge

This project considers the use of edge device capabilities to provide continuous diversified smart city services that are tailored to user-specific requests. With the advancements of wireless technologies and the rapid deployment of mobile devices, the need for a seamless smart composition technique of distributed service components into more complex applications in a dynamic IoT environment is a must. Consumers will be able to sell unused resources and capabilities to each other or to cloud and fog service providers. Through cooperative and machine learning techniques, services will be composed and deliverd to clients in accordance to their service preferences and on time. Benefits of such a solution are seen in the form of profit sharing and maximization, service diversity and reliability, and delivery of services in a timely manner for time-sensitive applications.
